Towards a Component Model 1.0

With the release of Preview 3 and the addition of efficient, composable, language-integrated concurrency, the Component Model is now ready for industrial strength computing both inside and outside the browser and so it’s time to focus on getting to a 1.0 stable shipping standard. This talk will cover some of the important remaining tasks to reach this goal such as: making the Component Model easier to adopt, motivating native browser implementations and closing a few remaining functionality gaps. But you don’t have to wait until 1.0 to take advantage of the Component Model! The talk will also cover our working browser polyfill, JCO, and how 0.3 can smoothly transition into 1.0.
