Sy Brand

Sy has over a decade in developer tooling and has worked on profilers, compilers, language runtimes, standard libraries, and debuggers. They are the author of the book Building a Debugger, and have contributed to the standards for the WebAssembly Component Model, C++, DWARF, and HSA. Sy earned a degree in computer science from the University of St. Andrews, specializing in compiler implementation. They also are a poet, filmmaker, musician, activist, and parent to three cats and one entire human.
